SI®/PAM was implemented by SES in two phases. Phase 1 concentrated on setting up a plant index with a systematic tree structure and a document management system as well as configuring the shift log. To do so, among other things several logs with automatic data transfer to the shift leader were created for the administration of a central log. In Phase 2, the preventive and corrective maintenance were set up in SI®/PAM, processes and workflows were defined in terms of work safety and safety isolation, and the users of the system were trained. Besides achieving a central availability of the information on events (previously: separate shift logs in six control rooms) and the consolidation of information and data in one IT solution, the paper- and Excel-based maintenance planning has been replaced by the new maintenance system.
